Learn All About Being The Ultimate Shapeshifter
What and how do i enhance the game-play of my druid?, you might be asking yourself this, Well you've come to the right place. A general overview on what the druid class is capable of and how versatile you can use it and not just stick to 1 form, A master shapeshifter, four different specs all in 1 class, it is the one class that has all the elements from the other classes in world of warcraft and yet very much unique. now that you've gotten the overview it is time to move on & everything that you read here is sure to turn you into an advanced player if you're not already experienced
Moving on to feral druid Builds / specializations (spec's) There are 4 ways to spec into the feral talent tree depending on whether you choose to be more pvp or pve oriented, if you're wondering what those 4 ways are, you have to remember you are a hybrid class though you are using mellee as your main strength. it is completely your choice that matters in how you want to see your class proceed, as in either for raiding or pvp, knowing this gains you more power and honing your skills and class capabilities in becoming elite. So when you're talking about 4 ways of Feral druid specs, they are pve, pvp, offensive & defensive. Not types of spec's, But ways of spec'ing. The types of spec'ing into a Druid would be Caster DPS (Balance), Tank (Feral bear), Melle Dps (Cat) & Healer (Restoration)
Pve spec'ing is so vast with every upcoming patch and new players experimenting in the beta itself, you do find players playing on the beta server before every such patch to experiment and how to better their playstyle before anybody gets the hang of it on patch release day. but there are some things that can't beat old school and alot of Pre-tbc players will attest to this no matter how many changes. If you're purely into Playing kitty damage per second (DPS) then i suggest you follow this Talent tree as its the most efficient spec so far, lets find out why Brutal Impact: Yes those interrupts that get off cooldown (Cd) pretty quickly are pretty helpful though you'll never be a primary interrupt class concerning raids or you never know, A raid leader can assign you with the job of interrupting and its also helpful when you come across other slow or laggy players on boss fights in dungeons, nevertheless you will find this pretty useful although it might seem unimportant. for further notice check the links on the side to check how you can macro + bind 1 simple key to having your cat and bear form skull bash, all the goodies in 1 button!. Survival Instinct:- you really don't need a point in here, Most druids are spec'ing into this for no absolute reason, maybe out of some paranoia or fear that they may die, if you haven't noticed the Nuturing instinct talent is there purely for kitty's!, other than that in a raid or dungeon your healer is not doing a reliable job, but still you should be self dependent and know when to jump into a fight and when to get out. Pve rotation and how to burst massively and also do substantial passive DPS is covered in the link on the side. The rest of the Talent spec is self explanatory feel free to test and spread the word.
If you're into Bear Tanking, (where you're the meatbag and everything's beating on you and theres so much of chaos going about with everyone else trying to keep you topped up on health, while some weird things are happening you have no clue about) then yes Bear tanking is really very unique compared to other Tanking proficient classes, Again in 1 tree you can either spec Feral Cat or Feral Bear purely for defensive playing, massive Health point (HP) and armor increase / contribution. Take a look at a really happening Tank spec for the Feral Bear.
Perseverance:- When you find yourself mostly raiding especially tanking as a bear, you will find that no matter how many buffs or resists / absorb effects you have, you will still be viable for a, or crushing blows which can make the difference for your healers or how well you play, So when this skill point x3 gives you 6% reduced spell damage, TAKE IT. so you can laugh back as pesky casters and increase your survivability in certain Raid / dungeon Encounters. Natural Reaction:- Most tanks that spec into this talent point also for some reason spec into King of the Jungle & Primal Madness, you will also see majority of these So called Bear tankers Fail terribly as they aren't sticking to their role of Tanking and withstanding huge amounts of damage, but instead also trying to damage. Natural reaction does the job perfectly and saves you from putting 5 whole points into Absolutely waste of talent points. Remember As a bear Tank, your sole purpose is responsibilty to the rest of the party / raid, You have to be more aware than anybody else, vital communication and must be open to critisicm, you learn only how to tank on how well nobody else seems to pull aggro & monitoring yours as well as your party members status, Mana, HP etc. its one of the most enjoyable spec's to play especially knowing that you have no shield or visible armor like the rest of the Tank capable classes such as the paladin, warrior & deathknight. All you have is your fur & a Mean look. check out the other links to see a detailed version on Tanking & no there is no rotation to tanking or healing whatsoever, it is all about timing and skill. Experience makes the cut. The rest of the Talent Tree for Tanking is self Explanatory Shapeshifting can be tedious but is also key to mastering the Feral Druid class, as a Feral Cat you can dish out large amounts of damage through burst or Damage over time (DOT) your main dps comes from bleed effects that or can increase bleed damage, such as shred and mangle. if you can master your combo points in cat you will never have energy problems and knowing when you replenish it to full at the moments notice gives you an edge in the DPS meters, Controlling your rage as a bear is not only about spamming the keys on your action bar but also calculating when and how to excecute certain moves to hold aggro and stay alive & get positive comments and /cheers from your comrades. The Feral druid is the only class that may have some people playing it, But only a few know how to be unique. it can take 5minutes to 5 months of your time to mastering the Feral Druid Class. If you have time Check out this Video of a Feral Kitty, Although it is Pvp, it is also how powerful a druid can be when facing something that isnt a repitition, because overall it is pvp that will always give you a new insight to your class no matter if you're an RP'er (role player) pve'er (player vs environment) or just the Pvp (player vs player) fanatic. This video proves that no matter how many nerfs or buffs the class gets, players know how to be unique.

it seems this is written by a really experienced player who has a few years of know how lol. its really refreshing to see another player keep the druid especially the feral spec alive. with all the whining and unbalanced stuffs thats been happening in wow, these tips take it to a new level. check out the keybindings man amazing job, i couldnt ever for the life of me figure it out until you broke it down some.
yeah this guy knows what hes talking about, pretty informative, i guess i was looking for more info, but this hit the spot and my search is at an end now lulz. imma go spec into feral now all thats left is gearing up i guess and get ready to shred some peeples in the bg's cause i'm bored of dungeons and raiding tbh.
i've only recently started playing and i'm lvl'ing a mage, i die so easily even if i can damage things really hard, i still get annoyed having to stand in one place and spam ice lance and frost bolt and what not. so i checked up on the other classes, watching videos and stuff and i came across this, now i'm definetly going to roll a druid!.
very awesome & very informative, thank you!! theres alot of junk material floating about on the web but this was pretty much accurate and the tips are really helpful. after the release of cataclysm i level'd up a DK, because it was depressing playing the druid where we were only forced to play resto, but after reading this, it has inspired me to pick up on my kitty RAWR!!!
